FREE PARKING ON THANKSGIVING DAY & BLACK FRIDAY

Our holiday gift to you! Parking is FREE at all City of Greenville parking facilities on Thanksgiving Day & Black Friday. Free parking will begin at 6 a.m. on Thursday, November 28 and end at 6 a.m. on Saturday, November 30. In addition to the Richardson Street Garage and the West Washington Street Deck, which are always free on weekends, the Broad Street Garage will also be free on Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1.

DECEMBER 6 - 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Main Street, from Broad Street to Court Street

Count down with Mayor White as we light the official Christmas tree and turn on all of the holiday plaza lights. This exciting new event includes food trucks and vendors, live music and a special visit from Santa Claus. Also, stop by United Community Bank Ice on Main for a special glow skate. All skaters receive glow sticks and a voucher to return to the rink at a discounted rate. The official tree lighting will be at 6:30 p.m.

POINSETTIA CHRISTMAS PARADE

DECEMBER 7 - 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Plan your viewing spot now for this illuminating parade featuring over 75 musical marching units, elaborately decorated floats and, of course, Santa Claus! The parade route is Main Street, from Augusta Street to North Street.

WINDOW DECORATING CONTEST

DECEMBER 6 - Contest Begins

Downtown merchants will transform Main Street into a holiday wonderland for residents and visitors to enjoy. Visitors can stroll the streets and vote for their favorite merchant display from December 9 through December 19 by visiting the City's Facebook page at City of Greenville Facebook. Contest winners will be announced December 20.
