Ticket Sales Attendant

POSITION EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists with the ice rink opening and closing procedures, including and not limited to moving rink-side equipment into place, setting out signage, etc.
Sells tickets for ice on Main.
Sells rink merchandise such as socks and gloves, keeping an accurate inventory of merchandise.
Processes cash/credit card payments and ensures register totals are in balance.
Answers questions concerning rates, reservations and gives information concerning upcoming events and attractions.
Keeps work area neat, clean and organized at all times.
Assists with the cleanliness of ice rink grounds.
Provides high-quality customer service and effectively communicates with guests.
Ability to recognize problems as they arise and bring them to the attention of Ice Rink Supervisor.
Ability to adhere to City policies, follow safety guidelines and exercise good judgment in all aspects of responsibility.
Willingness to perform other duties as needed.

Requires climbing, reaching bending, pulling, and lifting. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 20 lbs. Work includes varying environments, including cold temperatures.

Must be 18 years or older
Available nights, weekends and some holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and New Years Day. *select holidays are paid time and a half
High school diploma or equivalent required
Basic computer skills
Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to sit in a cold environment
