City Offers Fall Fun With Halloween-Themed Events

The City of Greenville is hosting a number of fall festivities and Halloween-themed events this month, including the Fidelity Investments Moonlight Movies – Halloween Edition, TD Saturday Market Autumn Harvest and Trick-or-Treat on Main Street. Event highlights include:

Fidelity Investments Moonlight Movies – Halloween Edition: Wednesday, October 23

Moviegoers can enjoy a free classic movie under the stars at Falls Park. This year’s feature film is House on Haunted Hill. Attendees are invited to come early with lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy spooky movie trivia, trick-or-treating, a classic Halloween Scooby-Doo episode and a “Thriller” flash mob performed by Carolina Dance Collaborative. The movie will begin at sundown.

TD Saturday Market Autumn Harvest: Saturday, October 26

The TD Saturday Market presented by Prisma Health will end its season with an Autumn Harvest event. The event will take place on Main Street, from Court Street to Washington Street, from 8 a.m. to noon. Market shoppers will find a fall harvest of fresh produce, gourmet foods and local crafts from 65 different market vendors. Featured seasonal market items will include pumpkins, apples, squash, heirloom lettuce, a variety of cheeses, jams, salsas and freshly baked assorted pastries and bread. Below is a complete schedule of special events:

Children’s Trick-or-Treating
8 a.m. – Noon
Children can trick-or-treat at all the market vendor booths. A perfect way for the entire family to shop at the market.

Spuds & Sprouts presented by Prisma Health
8 a.m. – Noon
A season-long children’s program offering educational activities on Main Street at McBee Avenue.

“Cupcake” Walk
9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
The last one standing during this fun children’s game wins a tasty treat provided by participating market vendors.

Children’s Halloween Costume Contest
11 a.m.
Children can show off their Halloween costumes at the market’s Halloween Costume Contest.

Trick-or-Treat on Main Street: Saturday, October 26
New this year, families are invited to trick-or-treat along Main Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Downtown merchants will identify their participation by displaying a green pumpkin in their window or in front of their business.
