[ARCHIVED] GTA elects 2015 officers

An Urban Designer with a Masters in Architecture from Clemson University, Dilger has served on the GTA/Greenlink board since 2010 as an appointee of the Greenville County Legislative Delegation.

Elected as Vice Chairman for 2015 was Dr. Julian A. Reed, Ed.D, MPH, Associate Professor of Health Sciences at Furman University. An appointee of Greenville City Council, Reed is the author of the recent economic impact study on the Greenville Health System Swamp Rabbit Trail. Reed also will chair the GTA/Greenlink Development Committee in 2015.

Sam Zimmerman, a Greenville County Council appointee, was elected to a second term as GTA Treasurer and also will serve as 2015 Chair of the GTA/Greenlink Finance Committee. Greenlink Transit Director Mark Rickards serves as GTA Board Secretary.

The Greenville Transit Authority (GTA) was created in 1974, by Ordinances of the City of Greenville and Greenville County, pursuant to the Regional Transportation Authority Law, originally adopted in 1973 and later amended. The Authority is governed by a seven-member Board, with two members appointed by Greenville City Council, two members appointed by Greenville County Council, and three members appointed by the Greenville County Legislative Delegation. GTA contracts with the City of Greenville for operations of the public transit system under the brand name Greenlink.
