[ARCHIVED] Harold C Jennings Scholarship Foundation

Chief Kenneth C. Miller invites you to the annual presentation of scholarships from the Harold C. Jennings Foundation which has been scheduled for Thursday, July 23, 2015, at 8:30 a.m. at the Marriott on the Parkway.

The Harold C. Jennings Foundation was formed to give financial aid to deserving children, both academically and financially, of police officers including those whose parent is retired, disabled, or killed in the line of duty. From its formation in 1977, the HCJ Foundation has granted a total of 419 scholarships over the last 38 years totaling $716,958 including this year’s recipients. Your attendance and coverage of this event will be greatly appreciated.

The recipients for the 2015-2016 scholarship awards are as follows:

Brandi N. Aiken

Daughter of retired Corporal Mike Aiken, Brandi is a previous scholarship winner who will be a junior at Southern Wesleyan University majoring in Special Education.

Radeja Attaway

Daughter of Corporal Rob Attaway, Radeja is a previous scholarship winner who will be a junior at Converse College majoring in Education and Spanish.

Lauren Blair

Daughter of Sergeant Chi Blair, Lauren is a previous scholarship winner who will be a junior at the University of Kentucky majoring in Psychology.

Monica Colwell

Daughter of Corporal Rob Colwell, Monica is a previous scholarship winner who will be a sophomore at North Greenville University majoring in Criminal Justice.

Nathaniel T. Gamble

Son of Lieutenant Bob Gamble, Nathaniel is a previous scholarship winner who will be a senior at Belmont University majoring in Commercial Music.

Neil A. Gamble

Son of Lieutenant Bob Gamble, Neil is a previous scholarship winner who will be a junior at Clemson University majoring Chemical Engineering.

Jon-Michael Harmon

Son of Captain Mike Harmon, Jon-Michael is a previous scholarship winner who will be a senior at Tennessee State University majoring in Business Administration.

Amber Hunt

Daughter of Captain Gerald Hunt, Amber is a previous scholarship winner who will be a senior at USC Upstate majoring in Business Administration.

Darby McJunkin

Daughter of retired Corporal Joey McJunkin, Darby will be a freshman at North Greenville University majoring in Animal Science.

Gray McJunkin

Son of retired Corporal Joey McJunkin, Gray is a previous scholarship winner who will be a junior at Greenville Technical College obtaining an AAS in General Technology with a major in Diesel Equipment Mechanic.

Jalen Neely-Pearson

Daughter of Sergeant Travis Pearson, Jalen is a previous scholarship winner who will be a sophomore at USC Upstate majoring in Criminal Justice.
