On 12-15-16 at approximately 10:29 PM 911 communications received a call in reference to a structure fire at 315 Perry Avenue with residents inside.
Greenville Fire and Police were immediately dispatched and upon arrival the residence was engulfed in the upstairs region.
Greenville City firefighters made entry into the residence and were able to extract a young 3 year old boy and an adult male from the upstairs of the house. They were transported to the Greenville Memorial Hospital by EMS.
The latest information is that both victims are in a critical condition.
Preliminary reports indicate that a family of six were inside the home when the fire began. 4 out of the 6 were able to safely get out.
Greenville Police Arson Detectives have responded and are working with Greenville Fire into this investigation. The cause of the fire at the moment is still being investigated.
In regards to Traffic, Perry Avenue from Academy Street to North Calhoun Street is blocked off.
Greenville Police has transported the rest of the family to GMH and are ensuring they have a place to stay. Red Cross has also been notified to assist with resources.
