[ARCHIVED] Autobreaking Charges

The Greenville Police Department has successfully obtained charges related to a series of autobreakings that took place November 9 and 10 at 3 Legacy Park Drive (YMCA) and 101 Verdae Boulevard (Planet Fitness). On February 2, 2017, detectives pieced together several leads, which led to the identification of the following suspects and charges totaling four counts of autobreaking, 16 counts of conspiracy, four counts of enhanced larceny and eight counts of petit larceny.

Kyle Austin (05/08/1987)

4 Counts of Conspiracy


Octavious Banks is currently at large and wanted for the charges listed above. If you know the whereabouts of Mr. Banks, please contact your local police department.


Kenneth Jackson is incarcerated at the Dekalb County Detention Center, Jabarie Cooper is incarcerated at the Charleston County Detention Center and Kelly Burns and Kyler Austin are incarcerated at the Greenville County Detention Center.


Between November and December, investigators made 100 charges related to autobreakings that occurred outside of area gyms (reference 1.19.17 media release). Citizens are urged to lock their doors and remove valuables from plain sight when leaving their vehicles unattended.
